Wired Recap: Camera Options for Streaming

Posted by Laura Duerring on Nov 10, 2017 11:29:50 AM

This week on Wired, StreamSpot was joined by streaming experts Tess Protesto and Paul Richards from our partner, PTZ Optics. The self-pronounced "Stream Geeks" demonstrated the latest and greatest cameras in their lineup, as well as gave great tips on how to choose the best camera for your venue.

PTZ Optics is a US-based company that manufactures PTZ broadcast conference cameras. PTZ Optics cameras offer a wide variety of connectivity options including: HD-SDI, HDMI, USB 3.0 and IP Streaming. StreamSpot customers love these cameras in our equipment bundles because of their professional grade quality and ease of use, particularly if there are only a few dedicated staff members on their streaming team.

Paul and Tess walked viewers through the 12x-SDI Optical Zoom and the 20x-SDI cameras currently bundled in StreamSpot equipment packages, as well as covered what's new in the world of camera offerings, including their new NDI option and POEs for current line of cameras.

Both the PTZ Optics team and the folks from StreamSpot talked video compression and lowering latency as well for optimal video delivery. Check out the video below!
