New Integration Features to Make Your Broadcasts Successful:

StreamSpot MRSS Integration Using Catholic Parish AppsWe're pleased to announce the release of dynamic integration options for your live and on-demand StreamSpot content.  Customers can seamlessly integrate StreamSpot into their favorite player, app or third-party application for a 100% customized viewing experience for their audience.

What is MRSS Integration?:

MRSS (Media RSS, or "Rich Site Summary") is an easy way to syndicate media content to third party applications.  Using the StreamSpot MRSS feed, our customers can integrate their live and on-demand content directly into their favorite app or video-player for instant native playback.  While we are close to releasing our new StreamSpot players, this option gives our customers to use any player they choose while still enjoying many popular features including automated archiving and instant viewer analytics.

To access your custom MRSS Feed:

  • Log onto http://mystreamspot.com
  • Click "View Your Channel" -> "Integration Options"
  • From the "MRSS Feed" section, select the content you wish to include in your feed (either all-content or a specific category of content)
  • The link will update based on your selection, simply copy and paste into your favorite app or player

What is an RSS feed?:

RSS "Rich Site Summary" (or "Really Simple Syndication") allows you to syndicate links to your StreamSpot content on your favorite website.  Customers can choose the content to be included in each RSS feed which will auto-populate content on each website with links to each live broadcast or on-demand archive.  Common website content management systems (or CMS) that work well with RSS include Wordpress, Joomla, Weebly, Wix and Drupal.
